Activities of Astalavista:

Our mission includes work towards raising awareness in appropriate forums about various issues affecting the people of India. This awareness-raising would be accomplished by organizing discussion series, invited talks and study groups. A.D.W.A.R.F intends to act as a network for various grass-roots workers and volunteers and non-governmental organizations.

Astalavista Divine Welfare and Research Foundation (A.D.W.A.R.F), would provide our community with an organization recognized as the leader in its field and dedicated to the training, education, and development of children, young adults and adults with multiple disabilities aimed at maximizing each individual’s potential.

Astalavista Divine Welfare and Research Foundation (A.D.W.A.R.F), will maintain a state-of-the-art school, a life skills center and offer lifelong programs and services designed to accomplish this mission by providing a learning environment with a functional atmosphere and a multi-disciplinary team approach.

Astalavista Divine Welfare and Research Foundation (A.D.W.A.R.F), will be an advocate for the integration and inclusion into society of all persons with with Multiple Disabilities, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment, etc. and other developmental disabilities from birth and throughout their lifetime.

Astalavista Divine Welfare and Research Foundation (A.D.W.A.R.F), will provide families of individuals with Down syndrome and other developmental disabilities with continuing support and serve as a lifetime resource for the adjustments they will have to make in their lives by virtue of having a child with Multiple Disabilities, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment, etc. or other developmental disability.

Clearly, identifying, researching, owning, funding, and sustaining projects would form the core of Astalavista Divine Welfare and Research Foundation (A.D.W.A.R.F) activities. A.D.W.A.R.F intends to raise funds for its projects in a number of ways like : individual donations, corporate donations, sale of merchandise (garments, bags, calendars, mugs, greeting cards, handicrafts, etc.), fundraising dinners, Indian classical music and dance concerts, popular music concerts and many others. In the process, we would also promote Indian culture over here.

Astalavista Divine Welfare and Research Foundation (A.D.W.A.R.F) team of specialists attending the assessment and counseling unit consists of Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Special Educators, Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, etc. Besides this the Child Specialists, Ortho Dentists, ENT & Neuro-Psychiatrist, regularly visit our NGO.

A Computer Software, with the help of the above mentioned team is designed especially for the children with Multiple Disabilities, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment, etc. This as per our study, would assist them in their studies and also encourage assignment planning, language, signing, communication skills etc.

The current projects for children with Multiple Disabilities, Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Hearing Impairment, with normal and underprivileged children, etc. include :
